A friend of Polprint's just relayed a delightful conspiracy theory: Clinton is staying in the race in order to weaken Obama, so that he will lose this election and she can run against McCain in 2012.
Polprint discounts most conspiracy theories, and this one is no exception. But why not indulge, once in awhile?

I think this is just a conspiracy theory. More likely she has been stringing it out expecting Obama's youth to lead to a fatal gaffe. whoops, didn't happen. But very hard to go from the presmptive nominee to gads, an also-ran. The moises from her backers this week have a very familiar shop-closing ring. You can keep running as long as you have money and she is burning her own dough now. I'd take the odds we'll see a surge of superdelagates to Obama soon to put him over the top. They'll shake hands and make nice.
